Had to drive her to school this morning. And guess what? The radio WORKS FINE AGAIN! I did nothing else to it but it came back to life. Sadly however, its got ANOTHER issue. My locks are all messed up. I guess the drivers actuator is messed up so every door follows. Put simply I have to manually lock every door and use the key for just the driver. This car will be the death of me.

How often do you actually need to have all 4 doors unlocked? Just lock em all and forget it.

That's how door locks worked for a very, very long time ;). I wouldn't sweat it too much.
Does it still unlock normally, or is the system completely dead? Does the lock/unlock button in the cabin do as it should, or does that not respond either?
Also, do you have the alarm fob for your car? If that's missing, then it's possible that somebody's done a hack job to bypass the alarm – certainly a possibility, given the car's history. That could possibly mess with your central locking, too.

If that's the worst problem with it these days, you're doing pretty great. My first three cars were complete nightmares, except it would be big things that would happen like a crack forming in an engine block or a transmission grenading itself. I would have been more than happy with power locks not working.

Doesnt unlock properly either. And the buttons on the inside, both driver and passenger door, do nothing. It makes the sound, but no results. What happened earlier was like the trunk was unlocked. I hit the lock button and it would lock for a few seconds than unlock itself. The other doors didnt move.
I do have the fob and it did work no problem before this. I used it every day.
The alarm works fine as well...
Its something wrong with one of the acuators and from what I read if one goes they all go...

Its not really the act of door locking that bothers me. Its just like one problem on top of another. Besides i leave it unlocked and pray itll get stolen now... Since i cant seem to sell it.

Its just one electrical issue after another with this car. It isnt the first issue and it wont be the last.
Also i think my transmission is slowly killing itself. I think its leaking slowly now and it doesnt always like the 3-2 downshift.

sorry if I missed this, but have you tried selling it to Carmax or something? I'm sure they won't be near what you want for that car, but at least you'd be able to unload it

The door lock issue is something all of the P80 cars have after about 100k miles.

...and therein lies the rub. We all know where the good, solid reliable cars are and we all know where the fun, sexy cars are. We know that these lie on opposite ends of the spectrum. So the key is to find the car in the middle - reliable and sexy and fun.
The answer, of course, is...
